Sierra County Board of Supervisors (BOS) passes resolution regarding SCFPD governance and terms of office
On December 20, 2022, the Sierra County Board of Supervisors concluded that the District is no longer governed by Commissioners acting as agents on behalf of the Board of Supervisors, instead the District is governed by a Board of Directors requiring said Directors to serve a four year term of office or until his or her successor qualifies and takes office pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 13843(a).
Sierra County Fire Protection District #1 is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Sierra County Fire Protection District #1
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
