The District collects a development impact fee from permitted new structural space and additions of structural space to existing buildings.
The fee is imposed on new development by Sierra County (“County”) on behalf of the District.
The purpose of the District’s development impact fee is to provide funding for new and expanded fire facilities, apparatus, vehicles, and equipment that are required as a direct result of the increase in fire protection demand generated by new development.
Sierra County Fire Protection District #1 is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Sierra County Fire Protection District #1
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
